1. Information We Collect
Account information: when you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile image from Google to create and manage your account.
Recipe inputs: the ingredient lists, preferences, and other details you submit when generating recipes or meal plans.
Usage information: basic information about how you interact with the Service, such as the features you use and your credit consumption, which is needed to operate the credit system.
We do not collect or store payment card details. Payment information is handled by our payment provider (see “Payments” below).
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to: provide the Service (generating recipes, running the meal planner, and maintaining your library); manage your account, credits, and subscription; diagnose bugs and improve the Service; and communicate with you about your account or important Service changes.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. AI Processing
To generate recipes, the ingredient and preference information you submit is sent to a third-party AI service for processing. Only what is needed to fulfill your request is sent — not your entire account.
By submitting ingredients for generation, you acknowledge that this processing occurs through third-party infrastructure. See the provider's terms for details on their data handling.
4. Storage & Security
Your account and recipe data are stored in a hosted PostgreSQL database (Supabase). Access to production data is limited to what is necessary to operate and support the Service.
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. However, no system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Payments
Paid subscriptions are processed by Creem, our payment provider. When you purchase a subscription, Creem collects and processes your payment details under its own privacy policy. We receive only the information needed to manage your subscription (such as your plan and billing status), never your card number.
6. Cookies & Session
The Service uses a session cookie to keep you signed in and to refresh your authentication session. It is necessary for the Service to function and is not used for advertising or third-party tracking.
7. Public Recipe Pages
Recipes published to public pages of the Service may be displayed publicly and indexed by search engines. Your private library and personal information are not published. Be mindful of this distinction when saving or publishing recipes.
8. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your account and recipe data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service.
You may request deletion of your account and personal data at any time by contacting us (see “Contact Us”). We will delete or anonymize your personal data, except where retention is required by law (for example, transaction records for tax purposes).
9. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe as required by applicable law.
10. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum digital-consent age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is always available on this page with its “Last updated” date. Material changes will be communicated through the Service.
12. Contact Us
Questions about this policy or requests regarding your data can be sent to support@pantrygen.com.
